Organic Exchange

The certification of organic textile products promoted at international level by Textile Exchange regards the validation of the declared content of organic natural fibres and their traceability all along the production chain of raw materials, half-finished products, and finished products. 
The certification is issued according to two standards that differs for the minimal allowed level of organic natural fibres:  
- OE 100 Standard, that applies to textile products made with 100% natural organic certified fibres
- OE Blended Standard, that applies to all products containing at least 5% of natural organic certified fibres. 
Environmental and social aspects connected to productive processes are not included in the scope of Organic Exchange certification.

OE 100 Standard, that applies to textile products made with 100% natural organic certified fibres, it is for tracking and documenting the purchase, handling and use of 100% certified organic cotton fiber in yarns, fabrics and finished goods.

OE Blended Standard, that applies to all products containing at least 5% of natural organic certified fibres, it is for tracking is for tracking and documenting the purchase, handling and use of certified organically farmed cotton fiber in blended yarns, fabrics and finished goods. 

 

Environmental and social aspects connected to productive processes are not included in the scope of Organic Exchange certification.
